Beginning with the basic bathroom sign - I created the shower - this is the third verison - the water is much lighter than the past two verison.
WATER - each stream of water represents 10 video takes.The shower scene took 70 takes to shot the scene (which is high even by todays standards).
I liked playing the grey background to bring the black and white film format into design. (verison 2)
First Verison - at first I wanted to use the bathroom sign in a slight abstract manner - along with grey background to provide the film format. The shower looks a bit like a bad wig -
I like the effect that happened on the text - while I wanted to create the text face cut in half - red on the top and white on the base - the default color setting is white/black -so I ended up with a slight stroke that I hadn't meant to add. However - when the black stroke interacts with the white of text and the grey of the background - the text creates an illusion of a dropshow from the upper red text (which is not there - it really is just the background showing through) .
=I used the new Shape tool to create a mirror image for the two masks needed for the type.
